Happy 40th Birthday, The Master!
The Master is officially 40! well in Earth years that is... It was 40 years ago today that the Master first appeared in "Terror of the Autons" who was played by the Late Roger Delgado (1971 -1973), he was a brilliant Master, and left a boulder for us too carry to find the next master. It was rumoured that there was to be one “final” Master story, possibly with the reveal that the Master was the Doctors Brother, until Roger Delgado was tragically killed in a car crash.
To Celebrate Here is a clip of the Master's first scene:

Doctor Who - Fact Of The Day 7/12/2010
In the Last of the Timelords we hear the master singing along to Track 3, which is "I Can't Decide" sung by the scissor sisters. We think this is part of a mix tape made by the Master, he is actually playing the album Ta-Daa by The scissor sisters, So it appears the Master is a fan of the band.
A song played in "Sound of the Drums" by Rouge Traders, features the word "Here comes the drums" which the master quotes in this episode and "The End of Time".
