The Impossible Astronaut has smashed previous viewing figures in the US, pulling in almost 1.3 million viewers on the BBC America Channel.The episode aired on Saturday on BBC America, and achieved nearly 1.3 million viewers (live and same-day PVR recordings), beating the previous record set by 'The Eleventh Hour' Series 5 Premiere last year.
On Sunday, we reported that Doctor Who in the UK on BBC One and BBC One HD, achieved an average 6.5 million viewers, down on 1.2 million compared to the Series 5 Launch Episode.
